Location: Herts & Essex Hospital, Cavell Drive, Bishops Stortford, Herts CM23 5JH OR Princess Alexandra Hospital CM20 1QX

Ward/Dept: Minor Injuries Unit

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday -Friday, 9am-5pm.

The Role

Herts and Essex hospital are looking for a paramedic to provide support to a team of multidisciplinary professionals providing clinical health and social care in admission prevention / avoidance service and supportive discharge.

Set and maintain standards of care and to deploy, co-ordinate and supervise the Home First team and learners as required.

Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised care plans to patients living in the community.

Be responsible for the accurate maintenance of patient and other records.

Participate in the long-term management of patients within the locality

Utilise appropriate clinical skills, within the scope of practice of an emergency care practitioner, for the assessment, treatment, and management of Home First referred patients.

To evaluate the Home First resource with regards acute patient management and develop the role of Community Paramedic as appropriate
