For this role there is an essential requirement to work from the office on a regular/potentially weekly basis.
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a temporary Project Support Officer to become part of the North of England Commissioning Support Unit (NECS); working on the Cervical Screening Administration Team (CSAS) for an ongoing project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the project manager in effectively managing workstream relationships, supporting the effective delivery of the project and A1 project administration.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the provision of high quality, efficient and customer focused service. They must have the capability to function well as part of a team and be able to work independently. You must have a flexible approach to problem solving and attention to detail.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a first class service and will therefore be driven, diplomatic, personable, proactive and professional.
The candidate must have refined organisational skills that balance work, and team support. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to support on detailed minutes, reports and presentations if and when required.
Main duties of the job
To provide project management support for the GP International recruitment office (GPIRO) including effective update of project management software and operating systems
To provide a project support function to the GPIRO (Senior Project Managers, Regional leads) in the delivery of a portfolio of projects through the full project life cycle.
To apply effective configuration management to project libraries, ensuring Programme Management Office (PMO) processes are applied and provide a quality assurance function over project products and documentation.
To provide an efficient and effective project support service ensuring that all good practice guidelines are followed and key documents are produced, maintained and filed in a timely manner.
