Job summary
We have an opportunity to join our Incident Management Team here in Cervical Screening Administration Service (CSAS), based in Leeds or Preston. We are looking to appoint a Incident Officers as part of our team. The Incident Team is a stakeholder facing team and interacts with people internally and externally on all levels. The team play a vital role in the managing of incidents and also, the protection of the service by supporting with the prevention of incidents.
The role of Incident officer is pivotal to the CSAS team and carries out a hugely important function in the Cervical Screening pathway. Attention to detail and the ability to confidently communicate are essential for this role.
Please note this role is restricted to internal NECS employees only.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities
- To report all incidents in a timely manner using the appropriate systems and mechanisms in place
- To co-ordinate investigations and ensure high quality administrative reporting is produced
- The Incident Officer will ensure allocated cases are processed in line with the Standard Operating Procedures.
- The Incident Officer will be representing NECS in delivering reports and updates on CSAS Incidents nationally and will also support the wider aspects of the cervical screening programme e.g. cease and delays; incidents; comms; cytology laboratory results etc
- The post will involve close working with other colleagues within NECS, NHSE and PHE to support the delivery of a successful service
- To provide recommendations based on lessons learnt from Incidents to make improvements to the CSAS Operation.
