Job summary

NECS is a leading provider of IT solutions and services for the health and social care sector. We are looking for an ICT Senior Application Coordinator to join our team and oversee the lifecycle management of our key applications.

Main duties of the job

As an ICT Senior Application Coordinator, you will:

- Ensure the operation of key applications, ensuring they are managed effectively throughout their lifecycle from service introduction through to being decommissioned.

- Provide assurance that key maintenance processes and procedures are being carried out to support the application estate.

- Plan and support the smooth introduction of new services into IT support, ensuring all required processes are identified and owned, and the relevant support teams have the required access and documentation to be able to support the application.

- Produce documentation and reports as required to convey complex information to key stakeholders.

This position is within the ICT Department and works under the direction of a senior IT Service Manager supporting ICT service provision across the UK. The post holder will be responsible for several distinct areas within IT aligned to the team the post sits within. Example duties include:

Ownership of one or more key service delivery processes.

Operating high performing services or functions to customers and/or for internal NECS teams.

Ensuring all relevant KPIs are met.

Providing assurance that services are met inline with agreed processes and achieve desired goals.

Delivering service improvement plans .

Deputising for Senior IT Service Managers when required.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Suitable technical professional qualification - (e.g., Computing related Degree, HNC/C MCP, ITIL (foundation), SDI, CompTia A+ or equivalent experience).

Desirable

  • Formal technical qualification.

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant experience in a supervisor/facilitation position in an IT department. Track record of planning and organisation a broad range of complex activities, such as projects, targets, process/policy implementation and change management which may have required the formation of, and adjustment of plans and strategies. Demonstrable understanding of current Operating Systems and Office products (e.g. Windows, Office, iOS, Project and Visio). Practical knowledge of IT service management processes and best practice adherence, Change, Problem, Incident, Request Fulfilment, Asset/Configuration Management, Performance Reporting, Continuous Improvement etc. Production of IT documentation, either technical or process. Experience of producing evidence packs for external auditors. Specialist knowledge of a range of ICT platforms, services, software and methodologies.

  • Experience of working across organisations and with other agencies.
