The Data Management team offers high quality data management and development services to internal teams in NECS and a wide array of clients across the health sector, including national and regional NHS organisations.

The Technical Architect role provides an exciting opportunity to transform NHS services using agile methods, exploiting cutting edge technology, and driving change via a multidisciplinary delivery team. Your resources will include Data Officers, Data Analysts, Senior Data Analysts and Data Managers and you will work closely with other technical architects and project managers to achieve our goals.

Main duties of the job

This role will be responsible for:

Achievement of internal KPIs and external SLAs.

Delivering performant and scalable data management systems.

Maximising process automation as part of a highly efficient service.

Providing consultancy services to clients, helping to diagnose and transform their solutions.

Exceeding customer expectations to secure repeat business and new opportunities.

You will be allocated a portfolio and will be responsible for leading a team and day to day business operations to ensure this portfolio is successfully managed.

Providing a reliable, efficient service to our wide variety of clients.

Ideal Candidate:

Good communication and planning skills.

Experience in leading a technical delivery team in a client-facing service provider.

Skilled in SQL or other database technologies.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery process.

Proficient in English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to support and educate technical and non-technical staff about the benefits and limitations of technologies.

A drive and determination to succeed and most importantly inspire your team.

  • Evidence of knowledge over a number of disciplines acquired through training and experience over an extended period, e.g., operational, cyber, cloud, technology, software development, commercial, data management etc.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.

Desirable

  • Member of a relevant professional body.

Experience

  • Experience and understanding of a range of enterprise technologies and architectural level knowledge.
  • Experience of direct line management and role management and skilled in delivering results through managing others.
  • Experience of operational service delivery to recognised and accredited principles within organisational settings.
  • Proven experience in the architecting solutions in complex pan-organisation environments.
  • Proven track record of delivery as a technical specialist in your field.
  • Experience of working with third party organisations and delivery of programmes and/or outsourcing.
  • Experience of utilising research and development to advance service delivery and product development.
