Job summary

This post is open to staff currently within the DTOS directorate

The Digital Transformation and Optimisation (DTOS) Applications Training Team deliver a wide-range of services including: End user remote and on-site applications training

Creation of bespoke solution using Microsoft 365 and VBA

Creation, publishing, tracking and reporting of award-winning online resources

Second-line support and troubleshooting

The Training Lead will work as part of a team of IT Trainers to develop and deliver effective support and training services specifically to oversee the delivery and implementation of the new national Cervical Screening Management System.

Main duties of the job

JOB PURPOSE

To provide an excellent systems training service to staff across the NECS customer areas and constituent GP Practices where applicable.

Contribute to the development and delivery of high quality innovative ICT services with lead responsibility for the Training function

To take the lead in the day to day activities of the training team

To provide specialist advice on a range of Informatics training issues and co-ordinate the Training Teams activities.

Job responsibilities

The Digital Transformation and Optimisation (DTOS) Training Team is responsible for the training and optimisation of clinical IT/patient record systems across a number of care settings, in various locations across England. These include TPP SystmOne and EMIS Web in GP practices, prisons, hospices and secondary care, and other bespoke products including national applications build and deployed on the new national Federated Data Platform.

The Training Lead will work as part of a team of IT Trainers and Systems Specialists to develop and deliver effective support and training services specifically to oversee the delivery and implementation of TPP SystmOne into a hospice located in Sheffield.

LOCATION / BASE This post is agile, but will require frequent visits to the hospice in question. 5. ROLE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

The post holder will be a TPP-accredited Trainer, providing effective and high-quality training solutions in SystmOne Palliative module.

The post holder will be expected to work autonomously within geographical areas and lead independently on developing and delivering training packages, which meet Individual customer requirements

Demonstrate and evaluate clinical system configuration options to the customer and their senior stakeholders.

Agree a final configuration (and accompanying ways of working) and ensure this is mirrored in both the end user training and live unit at go-live.

Ensure that routine data collection is optimised from a patient's and clinician's perspective and that the subsequent data extraction and reporting meets the organisation's requirements.

To evaluate Training Needs Analysis data and design courses to meet requirements

Develop high quality training plans and complex training materials in response to service requirements. DTOS Programme Manager (Training) Training Lead (Apps) x2 Applications Trainers x7 DTOS Manager x2 Training Lead Clinical Systems Specialists x15

To deliver specialist SystmOne training using a variety of methods such as classroom, remote telephone or computer, e-Learning.

Design, review and develop effective training guides to support training delivery, ensuring that existing training guides are kept up to date to support latest software versions and are customised to support customer business needs

The post holder will be required to interpret technical or administrative documentation and advise the business as to their implications in a manner easily understood.

Support with the maintenance of the eLearning platform and the creation of internal staff and end user login accounts

Support to create, publish, track and review effective eLearning courseware ensuring that such resources are signed off by the appropriate subject matter experts and are customised to support customer business needs and learning objectives

On-going support for learners at all stages in the training cycle and to identify tailored training packages where appropriate

Undertake review, monitoring and evaluation of training activities and feedback forms to ensure that business needs are being delivered and met. Maintain accurate and up to date records of staff trained including outcomes and progress reporting

Support the creation of SystmOne clinical templates and reports through the design and build phase, including system configuration in preparation for training, deployment and go live

Deliver routine and formal presentations to individuals and groups during kick off meetings, including SystmOne demonstrations or training Other ad-hoc duties required to meet the needs of the service.
