Job summary
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker to join our East Unscheduled Care CAMHS Service.
The Unscheduled Care Team undertake mental health assessments on young people who present to the Maelor hospital with a concern related to their mental health or wellbeing. The team will assess young people on the Children's Ward and in A+E and also undertake assessments on the Children's Ward in the Countess of Chester Hospital. If you enjoy supporting children and young people and want to make a positive difference to their lives, this job could be perfect for you.
We are looking for a motivated, conscientious, caring and friendly young person who has good communication and time management skills. Given that undertaking admin duties is a significant part of this role, computer literacy skills would be advantageous.
We are currently working towards extending our hours of operation and therefore a willingness to work outside the hours of 9-5 and a willingness to work at the weekend and on Bank Holidays is an essential requirement of this post.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Your duties will mainly include undertaking admin duties to support the functioning of the team.
You may also be required to help to support the young people during their admission/presentation to the Emergency Department.
