Flexibly Employed Housekeeping Assistant
Band 2
Dorset County Hospital is looking to recruit housekeeping staff to strengthen the already existing friendly and hardworking team.Following several changes to the service we are providing throughout the main hospital and some surrounding sites, we are looking to recruit a number of new members of staff to help us maintain and improve the standards of cleanliness within the hospital.
Main duties of the job
The exact duties will vary across the shifts and the areas to be cleaned differ too. However, the main duties of the role remain the same, to keep all areas in the hospital clean for our patients and staff.
We operate a 24 hour a day service throughout the year and staff are being recruited for all shifts.
There are many different pressures throughout the day and across the hospital. The housekeeping team has to respond to these, working together with colleagues to ensure the best patient experience. You will be trained in house and be placed with experienced colleagues in the first instance allowing you to learn what is expected of you in a supportive environment.
