Job summary
Calling student nurses, current nurses or a retire and return looking to get back into nursing! Or if you just want to come along on the tour of our CTC!
We are holding Open Days on Thursday 13th and Friday the 14th July 2023 in the Cardiothoracic Centre (CTC) to give Registered NHS / Health professional & Prospective Newly Qualified Nurses the opportunity to come and tour the CTC and our Critical Care Unit at Basildon Hospital to get a taste of:
- What we do - Our tour you allow you to see a small snapshot of what services are being offered by CTC and Critical Care, where you can meet some of the staff who can tell you more.
- What opportunities there are - Our staff will be on hand to discuss roles available in CTC and Critical Care. We are happy to discuss all varieties of working pattern to ensure your work/life balance.
- Where you could find your next role - On the day Interviews will be being held for Staff Nurses - Band 5 for both CTC and Critical Care, across both days.
We are holding 2 Open Days with tours of the CTC department and on the day Interviews for Band 5 Nurses. Main duties of the job
Your role will involve assisting with the provision of an environment conducive to the education of all staff, supervising other members of the nursing team as appropriate and participate in the induction of new staff.
As your personal competencies are achieved, assist in the monitoring of all junior staff, (including HCA's, departmental assistants and clerical staff), as appropriate, ensuring that all staff work to and achieve an acceptable safe standard and quality of care.
You will need to demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, to ensure the nursing procedures are implemented and maintained in accordance with the policies of the department and the Trust and maintain knowledge of current trends in healthcare and in the profession, participating as required in patient dependency studies and quality assurance programmes. To assist with nursing research projects as required.
Full and ongoing training will be given, and you will be nurtured and supported throughout your career with frequent opportunities to progress, expand and consolidate your knowledge with a view to advancing your career path.
