We are looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to lead and support the Clinical Pharmacist Team Leader - Medicines Governance to provide both Medicines Information and Clinical Trial Services across the Trust.
The post holder should have experience in Good Clinical Practice for Clinical Trials (GCP) and in delivering Medicines Information according to national standards set by the United Kingdom Medicines Information (UKMI) network. This post will be based primarily at Bradford Royal Infirmary with some cross site working. The post also involves:
- roducing and communicating specialised drug and medicine related information to patients, relatives and health care professionals.
- Providing input into risk reduction and clinical governance activities including the creation of Patient Group Directions and Shared Care Guidelines.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of the Trust Formulary including unlicensed medicines.

Main duties of the job
To lead, deliver and provide a highly specialised enquiry answering service from the Medicines Information Services at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in line with the National standards set by the United Kingdom Medicines Information (UKMI) network.
To lead, deliver and evaluate pharmaceutical aspects of clinical trials in line with ICH-GCP, European and UK clinical trials legislation and regulations.
To assist the Clinical Pharmacist Team Leader - Medicines Governance/Medication Safety Officer in developing and reviewing medicines related policies, guidelines and patient information.
To work across the Trust to ensure information required for formulary and commissioning meets the need of the process.
To manage the process for unlicensed medicine requests within the Trust in conjunction with QA and Pharmacy Stores, and maintain an up to date data base of unlicensed medicines in current use.
Applicants should be computer literate, have knowledge of electronic information sources and have experience in critical literature appraisal. They should have experience of audit and risk management.
