ELFT has an important role in the integration of health and social care services to ensure wherever possible, a system approach is taken to develop community services supported by a locality and a Place based approach. A directorate within ELFT, Community Health Services (CHS) as a community provider forms a significant part of the Community Care Collaborative (CCC).

Main duties of the job
The Deputy Director is a critical role and forms part of a cohesive leadership team that work together to deliver its core priorities. Priorities include the development of Place Based Community services as part of the ICS, provision of multi-disciplinary teams that support the holistic needs of individuals in their local communities, the promotion of a Home First model, and the effective leadership of responsive and efficient services.
The role requires working in partnership with North East London ICS including Place based ICS Board meetings, Primary Care Networks, local authorities, Acute Hospitals and a number of voluntary sectors and other partners. The role will also require effective partnership working with our corporate and directorate leaders as well as our clinical and non-clinical staff.
The successful candidate will be an experienced health or social care professional in an operational clinical or non-clinical capacity, have the knowledge and experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams, delivery of services and leading transformation to reflect local and national strategy.
The post holder will manage the operational delivery of the Newham Adult Health Services in order to meet regulatory, business plans and contractual obligations, managing risks effectively and ensuring effective relationships are maintained with all our partners and external agencies.
