This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in a career within Information and Business Intelligence in the NHS. As an experienced analyst, you will be part of a dynamic Performance and Information Team utilising innovation and new business technology to meet the needs of CNWL's key internal and external objectives.
The post-holder will have excellent data manipulation and visualisation skills and a solid understanding of data presentation design and development principles. Experience with any business intelligence tool is essential, with Tableau preferred. Working with the Central performance team you will develop dashboards, business intelligence solutions and training and development packages to meet the needs of the Trust's services.
The post-holder will be a self-motivated individual who has an organised and logical approach to work and enjoys working flexibly under pressure in a busy team as well as working on your own initiative to achieve deadlines.
The post-holder will need data analysis skills, an innate problem-solving ability, written and good communication skills.
The post-holder should have strong MS excel skills and SQL skills. Experience with customer engagement is essential as this role is also front facing.
ADDITIONALLY : As part of your supporting information please include a 150 word (minimum) write-up on a recent analytical visual report you created and presented and what impact it had on decision making.
Main duties of the job
To contribute to the continuous development & efficient production of information reports & service analysis to meet the developing needs of the Trust's key internal & external stakeholders.
- To collate & present routine activity monitoring information in a timely & accurate manner to agreed formats & timescales WITH clear interpretation to assist service leads
- To undertake complex ad-hoc analysis in areas defined by the Head of Information, the Divisional Heads of Performance, and Service Leads This will involve managing potentially contradictory & complex data to ascertain a credible, easily understandable position
- Contribute as required to the routine & statutory/mandatory information reports/returns for key internal & external stakeholders in accordance with required reporting timetables
- Provide assurance of the accuracy of reports by testing, validation & confirming correct operation of standard queries
- Ensuring that new reporting protocols, procedures & timetables are documented & existing protocols/procedures/timetables updated as appropriate to ensure business continuity
- Provide high quality, concise & informative briefings to a range of internal audiences as & when required. This may include presenting complex or contentious information & explaining this to an internal audience
- To provide to requestors a clear narrative including assumptions & data sources in order to interpret requested analyses or reports; to brief requestors in person as well as written
