We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse to join the Romanby ward inpatient nursing team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated staff nurse who is committed to delivering a high quality of nursing care and putting the patient at the core of everything we do. We care for medical patients with varied needs ranging from acute illness management through to the complexities of discharge processes. To achieve this we have strong links to the extended multi-disciplinary team and community services in the area.

Main duties of the job

To be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, by using professional judgement, assuming responsibility & accountability for assessing, implementing & evaluating clinical care for patients to meet their needs in a safe, caring environment whilst promoting privacy, dignity & respect.

The post holder will be expected to develop knowledge & skills within the specialty and will assist in the management & organisation of nursing work in the Ward within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct. The post holder will supervise the working of Health Care Assistants and support workers and support the training and assessment of Student nurses. Demonstrates the Trust Values and Behaviours for Nursing & Midwifery at all times.

The post holder has a duty of care to patients and is expected to comply fully with best practice standards & comply with Trust policies for personal and patient safety & the prevention of Healthcare associated infections.The post holder will be expected to work flexibly between day & night rotational shifts.
