Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join the Community Diabetes Team in supporting patients with Diabetes.
DESMOND is the acronym for Diabetes Education and Self Management for Ongoing and Newly Diagnosed.
We are looking for an experienced administrator with excellent communication skills to lead the efficient running of the DESMOND Programme Team and act as initial point of contact for all enquiries relating to the delivery of the South Tees DESMOND Programme.
The successful candidate will join a well established team in providing care for patients with Diabetes.
DESMOND training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Main duties of the job
To provide effective, efficient and professional administrative support for the DESMOND Programme.
To ensure patient courses are delivered in the right place and at the right time. The post holder will lead the efficient running of the DESMOND Programme Team and act as initial point of contact for all enquiries relating to the delivery of the South Tees DESMOND Programme. This will include resource ordering and database management, ensuring reports can be generated in a timely manner for the Locality Manager and DESMOND Educators.
To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Diabetes Specialist Nurses.
