We have a vacancy for a permanent contract post for a 0.5 wte band 8a Senior
Clinical/Counselling Psychologist at Reigate and Tandridge CMHRS (Community
Recovery Team).
Location:
The post is based at Gatton Place, Reigate CMHRS, and Tandridge Hub, Tandridge
CMHRS.
We would welcome a Senior Clinical/Counselling
Psychologist who preferably has experience of working in secondary care services
such as a community mental health team.
In our Community Mental Health Recovery Service (CMHRS)
we see adults with complex, severe, and enduring mental health problems. The principles and philosophy of care are
based on the recovery model and NICE evidence-based interventions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the
provision of highly specialist psychology services for this client group. He/she would be working closely with other psychologists
in the team and with multi-disciplinary team members.
This is an exciting time to join SABP, we are at the
forefront of developing services, working closely with NHS England to
develop and test new models of care. We received additional funding to
transform our community and crisis services and you will be joining us at an
interesting and exciting time in NHS Mental Health Services.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical
work and care. To maintain
high standards of care in all areas of practice
in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct,
professional guidelines and Trust Policies and Procedures. To act within the
Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act (2005). To be aware of and implement
Safeguarding Adult and Child Protection Policies, Procedures
and legislation.
To carry out comprehensive
psychological and cognitive assessments and formulation, plan implement and evaluate delivery of psychology interventions and consultations to support
people with specific and complex needs.
To undertake comprehensive risk assessments
and develop effective risk management plans for people with complex needs.
To conduct
and lead on clinical audit, quality assurance and research, maintaining current knowledge within specific care group
To positively contribute to divisional
and team developments in relation to all aspects of psychology practice.
To lead on the supervision and Individual Performance Review/Appraisal of assistant psychologists as required.
To contribute to the development and implementation
of appropriate policies,
protocols and care pathways.
Assist in appropriate staff recruitment and induction and contribute to the wider strategic plans regarding psychology recruitment.
