We require an Occupational Therapist for the CAMHS Beacon Inpatient Service.

The successful candidate will be undertaking Profession specific assessments and interventions, both individual and group programs within a clearly defined OT pathway at the Beacon and supporting the work of the OT assistant. Close networks with OT's across CAMHS, Clinical and professional supervision and team support is provided.

Flexible and blended working roles are supported within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as a specialist clinician to utilise and enhance Occupational Therapy clinical and professional skills within CAMHS The Beacon to deliver high standards of practice.
  • To apply the Occupational Therapy process within a Multi-Disciplinary format providing specialist assessment and treatment in clinical care pathways.
  • To take a lead in providing OT assessment and intervention at the Beacon unit. This involves promoting high quality clinical practice and ensuring professional standards are maintained in the workplace.
  • To delegate and supervise the work of the OT assistant.
  • To take students on placement on a regular basis.
  • To deliver a specialist Occupational Therapy Service to patients within CAMHS The Beacon, requiring flexibility/adaptability in recognising the complexity of these environments to maximise their abilities and opportunities for occupational wellbeing.

You must have access to your own transport or suitable alternative. Dependence on public transport is not suitable for this role.
