An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist with a passion for pelvic health to come and join the newly developed Perinatal Pelvic Health service (PPHS) and existing Urogynaecology Physiotherapy team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
As part of the national establishment of Perinatal Pelvic Health Services to improve and transform postnatal care, the post holder will contribute to the care of women and birthing people in Leeds and its surrounding area. The post holder will manage a clinical caseload of patients in the PPHS and Urogynaecology Physiotherapy services and work collaboratively with the wider MDT, including midwifery services, to provide excellent patient care.
The successful applicant will be a proactive and motivated individual with a strong commitment to their own continuing and professional development. They will demonstrate the ability to adapt to new challenges, whilst maintaining quality care and supporting innovation within the Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be part of the newly developed PPHS and existing Urogynaecology Physiotherapy teams at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. They will manage a specialist clinical caseload including the management of Perinatal, Urogynaecology, Gynaecology and Obstetric patients. The post holder will work in outpatients, inpatients and group session provision. You will have the opportunity to contribute to and support service development and work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary teams. The post holder will be supported by Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists and an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner.
We welcome applications from experienced Band 6 Physiotherapists or Band 5 Physiotherapists who can demonstrate the enthusiasm and ability to work at a band 6 level in Pelvic Health. We are seeking individuals who are team players and excellent communicators with a high degree of self motivation for continuing professional development and learning.
It would be desirable for candidates to have completed a postgraduate POGP (or equivalent) course in pelvic floor assessment and/or dysfunction, however this training can be provided where required for the successful candidate.

We have an accredited Urogynaecology unit and Obstetric Physiotherapy services, both of which have strong MDT links and education. The newly developed PPHS service will work alongside existing Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and midwifery services, to deliver the best care for the perinatal women of Leeds.
