Job summary

Barts Health is looking for someone to become an AIRS (Access Issue Resolution Service) Coordinator.

You must have excellent communication skills written and verbal with a professional and courteous telephone manner. You will liaise with staff, GP's and patients on a daily basis via the phone and email. It is essential to be empathetic and understanding to all who contact the AIRS service. The AIRS Coordinator will be self-motivated, able to use your own initiative to ensure issues are managed to the point of resolution.

You must have very good knowledge of CRS and understand the patient pathway. You will require good skills in Microsoft office (Word & Excel), to ensure accurate records are kept and reports are procuded.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with the Senior Supervisor and Department Manager to run the Access and Issues Resolution Service (AIRS) to ensure an efficient courteous service is provided for all patients and NHS staff contacting AIRS.

They will act as a relationship manager with CCG and related practices, ensuring that patient issues are taken through to the point of resolution.

The post holder will ensure that all concerns are logged onto the Datix Risk Management System, investigate the reasons for the issue, arrange suitable actions are taken to solve the concern, and bring to the attention of the Senior Supervisor when there are deviations from Trust protocols and policies.
