Job summary

The post holder will work as part of the Occupational Health team of St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to provide highquality occupational health service for its' clients.

To ensure service delivery in line with contract and departmental requirements, working to SEQOHS standards.

As part of the OH team will work will autonomously running occupational immunisation clinics and performing venepuncture.

To adhere to trust policies and protocols in the delivery of services to clients

Main duties of the job

  • To adhere to OH departmental philosophy to ensure that agreed policies and procedures are always followed.
  • To promote and support measures for the advancement of preventative medicine
  • To always uphold sound working relationships with all clients ensuring professionalism. Is friendly, courteous and sensitive to the needs of all client groups.
  • To be confident and flexible in approach to support the service needs of client specific services, involving increased seasonal workloads.
  • To liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team in order to deliver a quality OH service when presented with case that requires peer review
  • To store, check, order and administer drugs in accordance with Trust policy and NMC guidance
  • To use OH software system to records precise and appropriate communication/nursing notes/ immunisation records in all instances where a record is required for future reference. Shares a responsibility for the maintenance of individual health records, statutory records and recording of attendances to ensure compilation of accurate statistics for departmental activity data and audit.
  • To maintain absolute confidentiality in all matters divulged by clients unless otherwise required to do so by a Court of Law (under Court Order)
