Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the General Surgery, Urology and Vascular operational management team.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of information and processes in relation to patient pathways, ensuring access and operational targets are achieved and maintained.
The post holder will lead the development and management of working practices within the admin and performance functions to ensure the delivery of an efficient and responsive service, encompassing new initiatives, policies and procedural changes and processes.
Main duties of the job
Provides first line management support to the Activity and Performance coordinator . To be the key internal link between the secretarial and booking staff, clinical teams and operational staff to ensure consistency and standardisation of administration and governance processes.
Support the General Surgery, Urology and Vascular teams to manage projects and service performance.
Support the General Surgery, Urology and Vascular - medical and nursing management teams with daily running of services.
Support the General Surgery, Urology and Vascular governance processes and outcomes across both hospital sites to ensure consistency and integrated approach.
Deputise for the General Surgery, Urology and Vascular Service Manager in their absence or as required.
Provides proactive identification and resolution of poor service performance and provides support when necessary.
Implements, monitors and reviews administration standards, ensuring processes and appropriate training are in place to support this.
