Ward D58 is looking for dynamic healthcare assistants to join our team.
D58 is a Health Care of the Older Person Ward.
Although past experience in Health Care is beneficial prior experience in care is not necessary as we support you through a healthcare assistant induction and to complete the National Care Certificate. HCOP have a dedicated Clinical Trainer to support you through the training.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and committed Healthcare Assistants and will welcome any forward thinking, caring individual who is committed to providing a high standard of safe quality patient care.
You must display excellent communication skills and be confident to deal with members of the public and the hospital multidisciplinary team.
You will be delivering hands on patient care within unit and provide care in conjunction with the registered nurse.
The role is to cover 24 hours/7 days a week/12 hour shifts day and night .

Who would go the extra mile to help our patients feel valued and cared for at all times treating them with compassion, dignity and respect.
You will work alongside the nurses, assisting in admitting our patients, caring for our confused and acutely ill patients and assisting with activities of daily living and providing support to patients and relatives. You will also be expected to assist transferring patients on chairs/trolleys to our step down wards. Cleaning, tidying and stocking up also is a daily task.
