Job summary

The Trust are currently looking to recruit highly motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate Band 2 Radiology Support Workers (RSW) to join our fast paced and friendly Radiology Department.

The Radiology Department provides 24-hour service over 7 days a week. The successful candidate will be expected to assist radiographers, sonographers and radiologists in carrying out a wide range of diagnostic imaging examinations to ensure a high standard of patient care is maintained at all times.

Main duties of the job

As a RSW you will support the Radiology Department, supporting the Team in the provision of a 24/7 service, in all areas: plain film X-ray, CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound and interventional radiography.

Your role will include preparing patients for various investigations, acting as chaperone, moving and handling, patient care and use of computers.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent patient care, communication and interpersonal skills and understand the importance of following standard operating policies and procedures of work.
