Band 3 Equipment Store Coordinator

Job summary

The post holder will be required to work flexibly as part of a team to deliver, set up, monitor the location, educate on the use of and collect , inspect and clean a range of equipment held in the centralized Equipment Store (as per the Operational Policy). The post holder will be responsible for tracking and tracing and the delivery and collecting of the equipment. The post holder will be expected to maintain an up to date database of the equipment locations. The post holder will support the ward staff/clinical areas to promote the appropriate utilisation of equipment to assist in programmes of care to prevent and treat pressure ulcers and prevent patient harm.

Main duties of the job

Deal with telephone enquiries, taking requests for equipment from ward areas and deliver equipment to the ward area.

Maintain accurate records of equipment information and location

Collect any equipment that is no longer in use from ward areas and return to store, updating relevant information on the inventory.

On return to the equipment Store carry out equipment condition checks and action accordingly e.g. secondary cleaning of equipment as per Trust decontamination guidelines and policy.

Essential

  • 3 GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths or NVQ level 2
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications inc Word, Excel, Access
  • Prepared to pursue self-development

Experience

  • Experience of working in a stores environment and/or working with the public in a customer focused capacity to NVQ level 3
  • Previous experience as a team worker and ability to work on own initiative.
