The University Hospitals of Leicester Clinical Management Group (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) wishes to appoint a Clinical Research Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to work with the gynaecological oncology team. The post is full time for a doctor who has an interest in gynaecological oncology, and will be for two years. The successful applicant will be able to gain experience in gynaecological surgery and will be expected to register for an MD with the University of Leicester focusing on ovarian cancer surgery in gynaecological oncology. The fellow will be attached to the gynaecological oncology team but will have general obstetrics and gynaecology commitments during part of their week and participate in the obstetrics and gynaecology on call rota.. The gynaecological oncology team currently comprises of four consultants, two consultants with special interest in gynaecological oncology, one subspecialty fellow and one clinical fellow. Daytime commitments will be based cross site at both the Leicester General Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary whilst on call commitments will be based on one or both sites
