Due to retirement, an exciting opportunity has arisen within Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospitals of Leicester. We are looking for a talented Radiopharmacy production manager to lead the Radiopharmacy team at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. The work of the Radiopharmacy includes dispensing and quality control of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, as well as provision of an In Vitro laboratory service.

Successful applicants will be part of a friendly, supportive and experienced team that manufactures Tc-99m labelled pharmaceuticals and dispenses patient doses for Leicester Royal Infirmary and Glenfield Hospital. Non-technetium imaging and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals are also dispensed within the Radiopharmacy.

Major Job roles include the production and QC of radiopharmaceuticals under the terms of the Manufacturers Specials licence and the IMP Manufacturer’s Authorisations held by the Radiopharmacy. The post holder will also be responsible for the operational management of our growing specialist services and leading an expanding team of technicians.

It is a requirement of the job that the successful candidate is able to start work between 06:30am – 07:00am
