It’s an exciting time to join our senior management team, our new Quality Strategy – ‘Becoming the Best’, sets out our new approach and key priorities over the coming years and this will underpin the next chapter in our own organisational development, building on the Trust’s strong foundations and considerable potential.

We are looking to appoint substantively to our role of Chief Information Officer, reporting directly to our Chief Executive.

The successful candidate will be the senior responsible officer for managing the delivery of Information Management and Technology (IM&T) services across the Trust and for the implementation of the Trust’s IM&T strategy, ensuring UHL’s clinical and business requirements are reflected in our technology applications and services. Quality and safety are at the heart of the objectives of our IT and digital programme; we aim to support safe and effective care by progressing our eHospital plans to implement user-friendly and integrated solutions that make people’s jobs easier to do.

You will also take the lead role in representing UHL within the wider health economy, reflecting our desire to develop new opportunities and continue to engage with and support the full potential set out in the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Sustainability and Transformation Programme – ‘Better Care Together’.

You will need to draw on your natural ability to form strong working partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to support and inform their respective technology and data strategies, inspiring confidence and securing partnership at all levels. You will strategically drive new approaches to customer service and delivery, setting high standards and clear expectations for internal teams and provide coherent and inspiring leadership to ensure that staff are fully developed and suitably equipped to ensure excellent customer experience.
