Are you a dynamic Junior Doctor looking for experience in a large tertiary and teaching centre? If so, then we could be the centre for you. We are currently looking to appoint a Paediatric Cardiology Clinical Fellow to join our team ( ST4 +)

You must have:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council, hold a Licence to Practise.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • A high degree of motivation and self-discipline.

The East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre is currently located in the Glenfield Hospital within the University Hospitals of Leicester in Leicester. The department includes Paediatric Cardiology, Paediatric Intensive Care and Congenital Cardiac surgical services. Leicester is currently the largest of 4 Paediatric ECMO centres in Britain. It is the only centre that provides ECMO for all ages groups from newborns to adults. It is the busiest paediatric and neonatal ECMO centre with around 100 cases annually.

Whilst these posts are not recognised training posts, we pride ourselves on the quality of training and supervision given to all junior doctors, whether training grades or otherwise.
