Are you keen to be a part of our innovative multidisciplinary team who provide community bed based rehabilitation and care?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Rehabilitation Assistant to join our Bed Based Care Nursing and Therapies Team, where you will be working and travelling between our Community Rehabilitation Beds at Caterham Dene Hospital and local Nursing Homes. The successful candidate will be assisting in preventing unnecessary admissions to hospital and facilitating timely discharges by supporting patients on their rehabilitation journey.

As a Rehabilitation Assistant you will play a key role in our patients’ rehabilitation. You will receive training and work under the direction of our experienced Nurses and Therapists to provide rehabilitation and care. The role involves collaborative working with members of our multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Therapists and Rehabilitation staff as well as working using your own initiative.

The post holder will be self-motivated to carry out a wide variety of duties to facilitate the smooth operation of the team. Effective communication skills with patients, relatives and other health and social care professionals are necessary.

Due to the nature of this post, the successful applicant will need to be a car owner / driver and be prepared for some weekend and Bank holiday working.

This post requires NVQ 1 and 2 or equivalent in Health & Social Care

Recruitment and Retention Premium

Recruitment and Retention Premium applies to the following posts:

Successful applicants within the staff groups above will receive -

  • £1000 upon commencement (payable in your first months’ salary) then;

  • £1000 after 6 months service subject to satisfactory completion of your probationary period.
