Do you want to develop your specialist surgical skills

We are recruiting for staff nurses on the Ambulatory Surgical Unit at the LRI. We take a multitude of specialties Trauma, ENT, Max Fax, Plastics, Ophthalmology, General Surgery & Gynecology. This is an area that you can develop a lot of skills

We are a fast pace ward and take a lot of day case and 23 hour stay patients on the unit. We also have a Nurse led Pre ax area on ASU that can help you to gain skills as well

We are looking for enthusiastic motivated individuals who thrive on the challenge of this fast paced area. You must be able to work on your own initiative and be forward thinking with good prioritization and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills are key not only to improving your patients experience but also to contributing towards effective teamwork.

There are great opportunities to develop both in the pre-ax area and the ward area to develop your surgical skills.

In return you will have your own personal support through the ward team and practice development nurse, in order to meet your own development needs.
