A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Medical staffing support team based at St Nicholas Hospital, Gosforth, Newcastle.

This is a challenging and fast paced role. You will assist in providing a high quality, technical HR service to medical trainees, Consultants and Specialty Doctors ensuring the Trust meets its statutory and NHS requirements in relation to medical staffing issues.

You will ensure that Doctors rotations are efficient and the relevant systems are updated to accurately reflect the changing medical trainee workforce. You will work closely with those managing the rotas to ensure patient and staff safety.

You will have the responsibility for maintaining Rotawatch, the Trusts system for managing on call rotas, ensuring all gaps are filled and changes reflected. As this is a varied role you will also be involved in the recruitment and selection of doctors as well as the revalidation and appraisal processes. You will be expected to provide first line advice to the medical workforce as required.
