An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of our Urology Unit that provides quality care for both elective and emergency Urology patients. We are a tertiary center for Prostate, Kidney ,Bladder and Testicular and Penile cancers providing specialist and expert care to patients across the Midlands, Lincolnshire and the East of England.

The successful candidates will ensure high quality care is achieved within a multidisciplinary team where continuous learning and improvement are delivered. You will be supported to develop specialist skills, knowledge and expertise in clinical practice. We welcome applications from candidates who are seeking to gain experience in Urological care.

Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the post holder will be able to work within their teams effectively. The successful Staff Nurse candidates will hold current NMC registration.

The Clinical Management group covers a wide range of specialities and is looking to recruit experienced staff. You will be required to provide support, specialised knowledge and expertise in the day to day care and management of all patients coming through the ward. Working within a busy environment will provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your clinical managerial and leadership skills.

You will regularly take charge of the ward. As an effective leader and role model you will work flexibly as a member of the ward team, and in support of the Ward Sister to ensure standards are maintained, evaluated, and where necessary improved. In return you will have opportunities to join the Band 6 development program in CHUGGS and work closely with your Ward Sister to put this learning into practice.

In addition, you will play a key role in ensuring patients, carers, clinical staff and the wider community have the necessary education and training in order to care for and manage the Urological patient’s effectively.

You will be an effective role model and be involved in helping to develop all aspects of the ward including provision of policies and procedures. Improvements to the patients’ environment, delivering high quality clinical care and staff development.
