Genomic Champion - Nursing and Allied Healthcare

Join the London North Genomic Laboratory Hub and help us to create a new genomic medicine service for the NHS – transforming the way people are cared for.

Do you want to help us help transform the quality of NHS genetic services?

We are seeking to appoint a registered healthcare professional with a keen interest in education and training, and the passion and leadership skills, to act as a catalyst for change.

This role is crucial to the Hub’s ability to support the current and future workforce, to ensure the provision of cutting edge genomic medicine to the North Thames and some of Essex and Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be working with teams from across NHS Trust partners, communicating at an Executive level and liaising with senior members of the NHS England and Genomics England teams.

This is a Band 8a (0.50 WTE) post, available immediately and will be for a year in the first instance but with scope for extension; an ideal secondment opportunity which can dove tail with a current role. You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly, motivated multidisciplinary team working within a centre of excellence in central London helping to deliver transformation to care as we embed genomics in clinical practice.
