We are looking to recruit a committed, enthusiastic, self-motivated Salaried GP or Long Term Locumto join our friendly small team.Sessions per week would be 5, working Monday afternoon, All Day Tuesday and All Day Wednesday. Also flexible for covering annual leave.

Ideally we would like you to start in the first quarter of the new-year. However, we would wait for the right person to join our team; salaried, long term locum or partnership will all be considered. Applications from newly qualified GPs are also welcomed.

We are a very happy, innovative team with 1 partner GP, 1 Long Term Locum, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA and receptionist/administration team who work well together and are supportive of each other along with a Supportive Practice Manager. We have Approx. 2,500 patients

  • Minor surgery services are offered.

  • Mentorship for other health care professionals including practice nurses.

  • Supervision of medical students from Manchester University.

  • Salary is in line with the BMA and Medical Defence Fees paid

The practice area

The practice is based in Thornton-Cleveleys, an historic area which was named in the doomsday book in 1086. It has several restaurants, cafes and shops in the area. Little Thornton Theatre is across the road which has a lot of events. There are many lovely rural villages in the surrounding area, although being in a semi urban setting we are close to Manchester and Preston for shopping and entertainment. We also have easy access to the lake-district and the Wyre’s sweeping and incredibly diverse coastline good for walking. There is excellent schooling in the area. There is a wide variety of reasonably priced housing from modern spacious to charming and rustic depending if you choose to live rural or urban. All in all we are convinced we have something for everyone in our area, whether it is walking, climbing, boating and fishing, visiting historical places, good food, good entertainment or a little retail therapy nearby!

Salary is negotiable and will be in line with the BMA Contract.
