Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire and Sefton area. The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,000 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites.

Description

The role requires excellent attention to detail, communication skills and a strong focus on customer service. You will have the ability to work with, and improve, existing processes and systems.

Ideally the post holder will have an understanding of the career pathway of Doctors in Training and have the skills to be able to organise a programme of training, ensuring the effective delivery of post grad education.

The work of the Medical Education department is frequently governed by specific timescales and deadlines, therefore you will need to demonstrate that you can organise yourself and prioritise your workload effectively. An understanding of the importance of data protection issues is crucial.

With rapidly changing priorities this will require the ability to use your initiative, to manage your own workload and work under pressure. You will have excellent keyboard and IT skills together with experience of effective use of Excel and Word.
