Advert for Band 6 Practice Facilitator – Squirrel Endo/Met

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Band 6 Paediatric Nurse who is committed to delivering a high quality care to join our team on Squirrel Endo/Met Ward.

They will work with the Practice Educator and education team in leading the teaching, training and education of all staff. The role will involve the promotion of high standards of care through role modelling the demonstration of clinical expertise, leadership and professionalism.

Squirrel Endo/Met is a busy ward with 8 beds, specialising in endocrinology and metabolic medicine. We offer a mixture of long and short stay patients, catering for a diverse age range of patients from new born to 18 years. Substantial qualified experience in Paediatrics is preferred for this role, along with good background knowledge of the specialties.

Good time management and decision making skills are essential, along with an ability to work both autonomously and as part of the team. Leadership, role modelling and the ability to motivate and develop others, are key aspects for this Band 6 role. Bedside education, and the ability to teach, is important to ensure all nurses and HCAs are supported in the clinical environment, therefore the applicant should have excellent communication skills.

This is a part time post.
