We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional, who is an expert in moving and manual handling with specialist back care experience, and can influence and motivate others to promote and improve the quality of patient care.

You will have a lead role in supporting the development and ongoing review of Trust-wide moving and manual handling policies and associated procedures. Having the confidence and expertise to deliver specialist training to clinical teams is essential to ensure safe practice and the promotion of musculo-skeletal health across the Trust with the support of key trainers. You will assess the competency of the trainers, ensuring they have the appropriate level of knowledge and understanding of moving and manual handling and back care best practice to deliver a quality cohort of training and advice to teams across the organisation.

The post holder will need to have sound understanding of physiotherapy, undertaking specialist ergonomic assessments holistically, and mitigating any risks identified.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal, organisation and planning skills with a professional clinical background and qualifications in physiotherapy, moving / manual handling, back care and/or ergonomics. You must be happy to work flexibly and collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals and key stakeholders across the organisation to develop and review the Trust’s Back Care and Manual Handling Strategy.

The salary is dependent on experience.
