Patient Safety Manager - Band 7 – Permanent

 

An opportunity has arisen for a band 7 Patient Safety Manager to support the delivery of the Safety & Quality function as part of the Patient Safety Corporate Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Patient Safety Team, helping the Trust delivery its Patient Safety, Quality & Risk Management Strategy. You will be a self-starter with a clinical background in the health sector, with a passion for improving Patient Safety at all levels of the organisation.

The post holder will be able to use clinical, strategic, interpersonal and educational skills to optimise patient outcomes and experience, through promoting excellence in practice and improvements in service delivery.

You will coordinate the Serious Incident reporting, management and learning process for the Trust and participate in a range of projects and improvement initiatives covering incidents, risk and regulation. You will be confident training and presenting, and able to produce reports, presentations and information in high quality and innovative ways.

The successful candidate will be flexible, experienced with managing multiple tasks simultaneously and able to provide advice and guidance to staff managing serious incidents as required. You will have experience working in Patient Safety, governance and quality in the health sector and possess well-developed interpersonal skills, computer literacy, excellent attention to detail and superb written and verbal communication skills.
