Senior Staff Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join our existing team on Pelican Ward.

Pelican is a busy inpatient and ambulatory unit that specializes in the management of children and young people with Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Immunology and Dermatology conditions as well as supporting a Physiotherapist-led Rehabilitation service.

Our patients span in age from new born to adolescent. They require a varied input of nursing care from both low to high dependency, and have both surgical and medical requirements.

We are looking for experienced registered nurses with excellent paediatric clinical skills, who are well-motivated and have exceptional communication capabilities, time management skills and a passion to develop their knowledge.

Previous experience of taking charge of a ward, working at band 6 level or relevant experience in the specialties on Pelican is preferred.

As a Unit we are committed to your professional development and offer educational opportunities which can be individually structured to include study to degree or Masters Level.
