Band 7 - Team Leader Dental Nursing Services

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Dental Nursing Services Team Leader to head our dental nursing team. This is a new role and as such is a great opportunity to be part of, and lead a supportive, caring, flexible and friendly team .

East Surrey Hospital is part of Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Trust which has been awarded Outstanding by the CQC and consistently ranked in the top 20% nationally for staff recommending the Trust as a place to work or receive treatment.

We have recently moved into our new purpose built 7 clinic Dental Unit.

We are seeking an enthusiastic dental nurse with the clinical and leadership skills to support our expanding range of services and to head up the dental nursing team. We support the delivery of orthodontic, sedation, special care paediatric and outpatient maxillo-facial services.

We pride ourselves on supporting staff through professional development : the Trust has a robust Practice Development Team.

The service we provide is a six day service , requiring flexible shift rostering. The Trust supports Flexible Working.

Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service), thereafter individuals will progress up the pay steps in accordance with Agenda for change terms and conditions. For part time roles you will receive a pro rata'd (proportional) salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical & dental terms and conditions.

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust operate a 24 hour 365 day a year service and all nursing, clinical and operational roles will require staff to work 24/7 shifts (if required) unless you are specifically advised otherwise as part of the recruitment process.
