Since early 2017 we have benefitted from a single executive team across the three organisations. Since January 2019, all of our Trust Boards and our committees meet "in common" only as a matter of course.

Subject to regulatory approval, we will merge in April 2020 to become Mid & South Essex University Hospitals – a new single organisation, having university teaching and NHS foundation trust status. The new organisation presents an ideal opportunity for you to take a leading and influential role both internally and externally within a health and social care system

Here at Southend University Hospital we strive to provide high quality care for every patient, every time.

We would be nothing without our staff. So it goes without saying that when it comes to recruiting new team members, we're looking for the best. We encourage staff to be innovative, to challenge the "as is" and to always put patients first.

We want staff who will live our trust values every day.
