An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy team at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC). Our trust provides a variety of healthcare services including acute and community, covering parts of the Lake District and is also close to the beautiful Scottish Borders.

Due to the development of an Integrated Care System in North Cumbria, additional funding has been awarded to the pharmacy team to expand and develop the clinical pharmacy services across acute hospitals and community services. NCIC also offers a wide variety of specialities including; specialist surgery and nutrition, renal, orthopaedics, respiratory, cardiology, women & children, sexual health, specialist dental services, dermatology, ENT, general medicine and emergency care. . We are looking for highly motivated rotational and non-rotational band 7 pharmacists to support our advanced specialist pharmacists. There are several permanent and one fixed term contract of 1 year to cover mat leave available.

A rotational programme of clinical specialities can be offered to ensure individual development with specialist support. In one of these roles you will build on previous experience, developing greater autonomy and responsibility for the clinical pharmacy service you will be delivering. Alternatively you may wish to further develop your clinical skills in a fixed position e.g. cardiology, women & children, renal.

You will be a conscientious and forward-thinking individual and you will have responsibility for the delivery of a high quality clinical service and working within service development projects. You will have good organisational skills along with a strong team spirit; working alongside Pharmacists and Technical Support Staff to support multidisciplinary teams.

You will work closely with and be supported by senior pharmacists to continue your development in pharmacy practice and career progression. The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and excellent communication skills are an essential part of this role. Our patients are our highest priority so we welcome innovative suggestions for pharmacy practice whilst delivering excellence in pharmaceutical care.

Post holders will work within a 7 day working rota and provide an emergency on call service.
