This is an exciting time for the Trust as it is working on the implementation of a new EPR as well as looking to work more collaboratively within the Integrated Care Partnership of Cheshire West and the Health Care Partnership of Cheshire and Merseyside. All of these programmes will have significant impact on the Trust’s IM&T infrastructure.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible individual to join the Senior Infrastructure team as a Senior ICT Application Specialist/Architect. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced ICT Application Specialist/Architect with proven technical skills & knowledge to be a part of the Senior Infrastructure team and help support the delivery of all ICT across the organisation. You will be bringing with you skills from a broad range of the Microsoft stack such as Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, SQL, SharePoint, Office 365 and Azure to name a few. Experience of delivering projects to tight deadlines is a must as is the ability to balance conflicting demands of users and governance.

You will be leading a highly motivated and multi skilled team where you will manage, maintain, support, and secure the application infrastructure for current and future needs. You will provide and be the subject matter expert on all application infrastructure services with the ability to document, report and explain highly complex technical requirements.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large district General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital. The Trust has almost 4,000 staff and provides a range of medical services to more than 445,000 patients per year from areas covering Western Cheshire, Ellesmere Port, Neston and North Wales.

If subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975, then a disclosure submission will be made to the Disclosure & Barring service (formerly CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. The cost of the DBS application is £28 (standard) or £45 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.
