An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Research Team Leader (Mental Health) to join the Research and Development Department at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will be based at Sussex Education Centre in Hove. Travel across the local and regional research network area and nationally on occasion is also required to deliver studies, undertake training and development and promote collaboration.

The post holder will lead the team delivering a range of portfolio research studies. They will identify resources to effectively reach performance targets whilst ensuring that service users and caregivers have an excellent experience whilst participating in studies. The role includes line managing staff including Clinical Research Coordinators, Research Assistants and interns, assisting in the development of their clinical research skills through experience, education and training.

In addition, the post holder will work in partnership with the local research networks to identify and undertake feasibility of potential studies and promote the research agenda throughout the region and beyond.

This role is offered on a substantive contract, 1.0 WTE (37.5 hours per week) at Band 7 (AfC).
