The Payroll/Pensions Department is located at St James’s Hospital in Leeds 9 and provides a Payroll/Pensions service to Leeds Teaching Hospitals and other client organisations, paying approximately 33,000 employees in total. You will work full time, 37.5 hours per week, on a flexi time basis. 

 

You are invited to join our busy Pensions team where the main duties involveproviding a comprehensive Pensions service within the Trust, to all our clients.You will be expected to complete all aspects of work relating to NHS Pension Schemes and all other Local Pension Schemes relevant to the Trusts and CCG’s that make up our client base.

 

Substantial previous experience in an NHS Pensions environment is essential.

 

Salary is dependent upon previous NHS payroll experience.

 

You will need to have excellent communication skills, be a good team player and committed to working the Leeds Way - demonstrating the Leeds Way Values at all times.

If you are offered a position, you may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. DBS checks for volunteers are free.

Please ensure your application is submitted with referees who can verify your employment/education history over the last three years and include valid email addresses for them. LTHT will request electronic Factual Employment References from your previous employers. These references will be requested before you are issued with an unconditional offer of employment letter.

Please note that a car parking permit or space cannot be guaranteed. The Trust operates a points based waiting list system.
