Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, we became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 320,000 people. We have a CQC rating as good overall and we have some key areas of outstanding practice with an outstanding rating for being well led at every level.

We at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust provide services across the north west side of the Greater Manchester area ranging from hospital services in Bolton to community services across Bolton, Salford, Ashton, Leigh and Wigan. The Family Division aims to deliver the highest standards of care for maternity, sexual health, gynaecology and a range of acute and community children’s services. The Division is a Centre of Excellence for Women’s and Children’s services and has a credible and enviable reputation. We deliver over 6,000 babies and carry around 1500 gynaecological procedures each year, making us a specialist provider of health services for women, babies and their families in the North West Sector of Manchester and beyond.

Case loading Midwife providing Continuity of Care

Would you like to offer women continuity of carer to support them in every part of their journey while developing your own skills in every part of your midwifery practice?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our maternity service for band 6 midwives as caseload/coc midwives. Autonomously running your own diary but also supporting the Midwifery Teams in community.

We are a friendly and welcoming unit, that creates a positive experience for our women and families and the staff who care for them.

We are looking to recruit motivated midwives who strive to provide a quality service that is responsive to the changing needs of women and their families.

Following the national review of maternity services Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is one of seven national Pioneer Sites embedding the findings of Better Births which identifies the five year forward of Maternity Services in England to improve a woman’s experience and improve birth outcomes. BFT is committed to offering women personalised care and a positive birthing experience and is very proud to be the only maternity provider within Greater Manchester to offer women a choice of four birth settings to include home, Ingleside Freestanding Birth and Community Centre, Birth Centre (Alongside birth centre and Delivery Suite (Obstetric Unit).

You must have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and have excellent interpersonal skills.
