£52,306 to £60,983 per annum pro rata

We provide healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales’s capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Beacon Beacons to the north.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to for an 8B Practitioner Psychologist to join a multi-disciplinary team within the regional CAMHS Tier 4 Adolescent Unit , Ty Llidiard based in Bridgend.

The postholder will take a lead in delivery of psychology service for adolescents admitted to Ty Llidiard and will work closely with the Tier 4 MDT and partner agencies across the region in a specialist area where the skills of a psychologist are highly valued.

This is an opportunity for developing psychological care within the Tier 4 unit and to carry out direct clinical work with young people and families, work with staff, participate in service improvement, training and research/ audit. It is essential for this post to hold a Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent) and to be an HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist. Knowledge of, and a demonstrable interest in applying psychology to in-patient settings is recommended.

This is an exciting time to join Cwm Taf CAMHS who are committed to supporting and further developing the long established psychological service.

There is an active professional network for practitioner psychologists working in South Wales and you would be fully supported to develop your professional and clinical skills via training and CPD opportunities.
