North Somerset Community Partnership (NSCP) became a staff led Social Enterprise on October 1st 2011 with an ethos of delivering high quality innovative services driven by the needs and choices of the local population.

We work in partnership with the Local Authority, General Practitioners and voluntary organisations to provide a wide range of community health services to the people of North Somerset. We are providing NHS services and this will always remain at the heart of what we do but we also have the freedom to bid for other contracts and extend our service to meet the needs of the community.


From 1 April 2020, adult community health services in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire will be provided by a single provider, Sirona care & health are committed to working closely with North Somerset Community Partnership to ensure the safe transfer of services and staff in all eligible posts. Lymphoedema Specialist Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to work 22.5 hours a week within this specialist treatment field.

 

The Macmillan BNSSG Lymphoedema Service is a proactive Nurse led service that provides education, support and individualised care provision to patients with both primary and secondary lymphoedema in its geographical area.

 

We are keen to hear from motivated, standards driven registered nurses with a flexible can-do approach who are committed to providing high quality patient centered care in either clinic settings or in patients own homes. The ability to work autonomously and across professional and NHS Trust boundaries is required to meet the demands of the service.

 

Good team working and excellent communication skills are essential for this role together with a flexible attitude to work and the ability to travel across the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire areas. Clinics are currently at Portishead, Cossham Hospital and Knowle Clinic. A recognised lymphoedema qualification is essential.

 

Pay grade will be dependent on experience/qualifications. This is suitable as a band 5-6 developmental role. The successful candidate must be willing to complete the Lymphoedema specialist and prescribing training.

NSCP has been awarded Employing Authority status for the NHS Pension Scheme as an Independent Provider.  NSCP has been approved under the closed scheme. This means that people joining NSCP on or after 1 August 2014 are eligible to join if within 12 months prior to your start date with NSCP you have been employed by an organisation where you were eligible for the NHS pension, even if you’re not currently making contributions.

 

If you are not eligible for the NHS Pension scheme, you will be eligible for membership of our Legal & General defined contribution Group Pension Scheme.  From 1st April 2015 if you have not elected to join either scheme, you will be automatically enrolled into the Group Pension Scheme at 5% and receive employer contributions if you: earn £10,000 or more a year (£833 a month); are aged 22 or over; and; are under State Pension age.
