At Swindon Borough Council we have a clear vision of what we want the future to look like. The success of our vision depends on supporting residents to remain independent in their own homes with access to effective information and advice and services that promote a strength based approach.

We have recently conducted a comprehensive review of our Safeguarding Adults Team structure and governance, with a view to improving the service we provide to the people of Swindon and are now developing an Adult Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub with our Health and Police partners.

As a result, we are seeking to recruit additional Social Workers and Experienced Social Workers to undertake the Enquiry Officer and Enquiry Manager roles in our Adult Safeguarding Team.

We are looking for individuals with in-depth knowledge and experience of safeguarding practice and procedures, and ideally a proven track record in the Enquiry Manager or Officer role (or willingness to undertake training). You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills, and a commitment to a person-centred, asset-based approach.

What you’ll get in return

  • Support from a permanent dedicated Management structure
  • Benefit from corporate subscription to RiPFA including attendance at events
  • Supervision and support from onsite Senior Leadership team
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • 25 days holiday/ A career average revalued earnings (CARE) pension scheme
  • Eating Out, Shopping and Entertainment discounts
