The ISO 9001:2015 registered Clinical Engineering department delivers medical equipment management services throughout the Health Board.

The department provides a broad range of complex, routine and non-routine activities including user training of clinical equipment and devices.

This new post is an exciting opportunity to support the existing training section of the department which is now expanding to support the increasing needs of the Health Board.

The post holder will be a member of a multi-disciplined team and will be expected to work on own initiative and without supervision, providing expert guidance and user training on a wide range of highly complex equipment which includes infusion devices, patient monitoring, anaesthetic machines, ventilators, medical lasers, baby incubators, Cardio-Toco Graphs etc.

The post holder will also assist the Medical Devices Training Manager to develop training plans, policies, training competencies/workbooks, perform audits and incident investigations, assess manufacturer training courses in relation to medical devices within the Health Board.

The post holder will utilise their skills in using various Microsoft Office applications and internal other database applications to provide data and reports to support training needs analysis for departments within the Health Board.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in the use of medical devices or in their service and support. Staff with a clinical background or service/support background will be welcome.

The post holder will be based at the Princess Of Wales Hospital, but will be expected to travel regularly to other Health Board sites to deliver training.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
