We are advertising for a Band 6 midwife to join our team.

We are a small and friendly but busy unit, committed to providing the highest standards of individualised care to all our women and their families. We deliver approximately 1400 babies per year of which 5%are born at home.

We are looking for midwives to work in our core teams across the service and to join our continuity pathway pilot teams

Whether you are a midwife who enjoys the pace of a busy labour ward or enjoys the job satisfaction of getting to know and care for your own caseload we would love to hear from you.

We are proud to have been rated as good overall with an Outstanding rating for Caring in our recent CQC inspection and to also have been highly rated by our service users in the recently published CQC women's survey which is testament to the high standards of care we aspire to.

Our service provides both consultant and midwifery led care, midwives work in a model of integrated care which provides the opportunity for rotation between the maternity unit and community setting. There is a requirement to participate in an on call rota to provide safe and sustainable cover to service. This entails working approximately 2-4 on calls a month

The successful candidates will be able to provide both high and low risk midwifery care and have achieved confidence and competence in waterbirth and perineal suturing.
